A mother for his 2-year-old son made this online homoeopathic help request. This boy suffers from recurrent chalazia for almost 6 months. It started on the lower left lid and after sometime decreased in the size, but never went away while other tend to develop and gone on top lid. The patient tried Silica for about two weeks and noted no significant improvement. On further conversation it was clear that Silicea was also not the best indicated medicines for her as her photographs showed pus filled papules which seems to burst easily and suppurates very easily while Silicea does not have such speed of suppuration. Mouth breathing and Homoeopathy (Free Online Child Case No-3)

Mother requested online homoeopathic advice on April 24, 2009 for her 10 months old son who is breathing only through mouth mainly causing sleep disturbance and feeding problem with solids. There was no discharge from his nose. Mother seen GP and he said that maybe his sinuses are inflamed, but did not give him any medication. I asked about conditions around 10 days especially of any respiratory illness and his activities at present with regards to eating, sleeping, playing, crying, stool, urine, activity, dullness, restless, etc. and she replied her kid being healthy and nothing unusual happening in the past weeks except teething. He's very obstinate while changing cloth and didn't happen before.

She further reported him to having allergy to cow's milk protein with rash and vomiting and allergy to nuts and soy. He is used to sleep with breast-feed mainly. He has mouth thrush in past and now has constipation. He also had history of dry skin on scalp. He is a boy with rather big head, well built without being a heavy, and short in height to his age.

So I reviewed this boy as a 10-month-old boy with big head who has dry nasal obstruction for about 10 days who is a obstinate child with intolerance (allergy) to milk and tendency to be constipated. These symptoms indicate Calc Carb, but without being chubby and being active contraindicates this so I asked to mom to describes what he likes to eat and what not now these days. In the reply of this mom replied nothing of significance except that he is sweating on head a lot during sleep or breastfeeding.

Acne case
The patient asked advice regarding acne scar. I advised the patient to avoid squeezing the acne as it is main cause of acne scar. After doing so she noticed remarkable improvement in her acne. I further advised her to apply lemon juice on her acne scar and also to avoid any hand touching to the face and excess hair oil use. The patient is asked about her sleeping hours as lack of sleep often causes aggravation in skin problems. She is advised to try to take at least 8 hours sleep at night. This boy who is having frequent and chronic cold, cough, and fever is being successfully treated for his second episode of cold exacerbation with fever with Puls, Ipecac, and Ferrum Phos. His excessive sweating in head is usually not present. He has no fever since last three days, but does have runny nose and always wanting someone to be near by him. Mother is advised to give him Puls 30c three dose at 10 minute interval. I am hoping to solve his tendency to take frequent cold and fever in about six months to one year.

This online homoeopathic consultation was requested by mother who had decided to treat his son homeopathically and have already brought in a homoeopathic kit "Helios Homeopathy 36 Remedies"

This 18-month-old boy has had an intermittent fever and cold for the past 8 days. Fever usually occurred in the morning with greenish yellow crusty mucus in the eyes. She tried Pulsatilla 30c by her own given green mucus and did notice significant improvement with Puls.

Mother further reported despite using Puls in the past 24 hours, the fever has gotten worse and boy has become lethargic. He wants to be continually held and is irritable.

Generally, he has a very big appetite, but a slender figure.

Mother did not want to give her infant son antibiotics!

Mother posted request at night locally and I reply soon the above three options namely Puls, Chamomila, and Nux Vomica., but mother saw that in morning and found Chammomila and gave accordingly, but she noticed no improvement.

So taken her child to his PCP who diagnosed him child with "bilateral ear infection and viral sore throat" as per mother and gave him "one antibiotic shot and oral antibiotics to be taken at home" as per mother.

But mother do not have Puls 30c and said that she had Puls 200c and posted "i gave one dose of PUL 200c in the evening, He got fever 101.7 after 1 hr of dose so i gave him fever medicine . he is feeling ok after medicine like he is playing but not drinking milk . he ate little bit solid .hereis update of his condition. cough - runny nose + fever+++ appetite+ . He seems tired . Please tell me what to do ?"

I advised mother to give Ferrum Phos 6x and Puls 200c 2-3 granules disloved in one glass of water and to be given one teaspoon from this one hourly.
